“I cannot remember a time without a dog. Having the opportunity to work with them just reiterates what a great job I have,” says Simon. “I cannot think of anything more rewarding than building unique friendships with the different breeds of dogs I have the pleasure of walking and caring for. I get the time to build close friendships with individual dogs, as well as bonding as a pack.”

Bentley (dog!)

Bentley says “I love nothing more than running around with all of my new friends! However, I do have a job to do: I am the second port of call. My job is that of ‘control dog’, which means that when your dog is brought to Zara’s Doggy Day Care Centre, I am the first dog she meets.

“I am calm and relaxed. Before your dog gets introduced to the pack, I let your dog have a sniff around until she feels at home with me and her new surroundings. This allows her to gain confidence so that she doesn’t feel in any way intimidated”
